ALL CLASSES NEED TO WORK ON ONE OF THE FOLLOWING for the WEEK

Choice A:
Create a 2-3 minute song in Garageband. Must have

•  at least 12 lines of lyrics
• 75% of the song must be original, up to 25% can be sampled
• At least 4 tracks
• 2-3 minutes long

ARTIST RESEARCH PROJECT

CHOICE C:
Use Sumopaint.com, Photoshop.com and/or Aviary Phoenix to create at least 3 graphic design projects from the list found here:

Choice D:
Use a combination of famous and original artwork AND original and/or famous music, to create a music video in iMovie. Slides cannot be longer than 6 seconds, project should be at least 2 minutes long.

Thurs April 26- Graphic Design

MODs 1-4: Work on your Garageband song using keyboard and Media browser.

MODs 5-8:
Do Now: What is a Graphic Designer?

Classwork: Continue using Sumopaint, Photoshop, Aviary to create a self or celeb portrait

Exit Ticket: Name an artist that is famous for portraiture.

MODs 9-10: Continue to work on your Garageband song using keyboard and Media browser.

ALTERNATE ASSIGNMENT: ARTIST RESEARCH PROJECT

Wed 4/25- Image Manipulation

Mods 1-2 & 3-4: LAST DAY TO COMPLETE YOUR PSA!!! If you are finished, begin experimenting with GarageBand (application folder)

Mods 5-6 & 7-8: Image Manipulation

Please create an account in Sumopaint.com or Photoshop.com or try out Aviary Phoenix.

Your assignment is to create a portrait or self portrait using the tools available in these programs. You can use an actual image of yourself or others as a template.

Mod 9-10: Continue working on your ORIGINAL SONG. You may work with ONE other person.

Mods 1-2 & 3-4:
Complete your iMovie and share it (Export using Quicktime).

Do Now: Class Discussion.
Classwork:

1. Please type up your expectations and hopes for this term. What do you like about technology? What is frustrating? What would you like to learn this term?
2. When  complete, please go to sumopaint.com and begin to play with the tools and features. Create an account so that you can save your work.

Classwork: On your own or working with a partner, begin constructing a song in Garageband. Your song must be one minute long, have a hook/chorus, and at least 12 lines of lyrics.
Exit ticket: Email mirandagt2014@gmail.com what you learned in Garageband today, and any problems you found.

Do Now: Please look over the rubric and make sure your PSA is complete

Classwork: Complete your PSA. Make sure you have appropriate

• Images and/or video
• Titles (giving facts on your topic)
• Voiceovers (explaining your topic)
• Transitions (smooth movement between images/video)
• Music with appropriate tone/mood
• Edit voiceovers and music to match slides

HW: Email mirandagt2014@gmail.com with the grade you think you deserve on the PSA and explain why. Make sure you discuss what you learned about your

topic, and about video and audio editing.

Tues- PSA Planning Outline

Do Now: Small group iMovie Demo

Classwork:

Work independently on planning your PSA and researching fact and appropriate video/images

Instructions: Use this form to outline your PSA. You may need to use a separate sheet of paper to complete Section 1; you should complete that section first and wait until you have had a chance to complete the online Persuasion Map (http://www.readwritethink.org/materials/persuasion_map/) to finish the rest of the outline.

HW: Think about ways to make your PSA more engaging. While watching TV or on the internet, what catches and keeps your attention?
