APRIL 30- MAY 4 - Music and Art Tech


ALL CLASSES NEED TO WORK ON ONE OF THE FOLLOWING for the WEEK

Choice A:
Create a 2-3 minute song in Garageband. Must have

  •  at least 12 lines of lyrics
  • 75% of the song must be original, up to 25% can be sampled
  • At least 4 tracks
  • 2-3 minutes long

CHOICE B:
ARTIST RESEARCH PROJECT

CHOICE C:
Use Sumopaint.com, Photoshop.com and/or Aviary Phoenix to create at least 3 graphic design projects from the list found here:

SEE  ME WITH QUESTIONS.

Choice D:
Use a combination of famous and original artwork AND original and/or famous music, to create a music video in iMovie. Slides cannot be longer than 6 seconds, project should be at least 2 minutes long.

Do Now: What is a Graphic Designer?

Classwork: Continue using Sumopaint, Photoshop, Aviary to create a self or celeb portrait

Exit Ticket: Name an artist that is famous for portraiture.

MODs 9-10: Continue to work on your Garageband song using keyboard and Media browser.

Mods 5-6 & 7-8: Image Manipulation

Please create an account in Sumopaint.com or Photoshop.com or try out Aviary Phoenix.

Your assignment is to create a portrait or self portrait using the tools available in these programs. You can use an actual image of yourself or others as a template.

Mod 9-10: Continue working on your ORIGINAL SONG. You may work with ONE other person.

Classwork: On your own or working with a partner, begin constructing a song in Garageband. Your song must be one minute long, have a hook/chorus, and at least 12 lines of lyrics.

  • Voiceovers (explaining your topic)
  • Transitions (smooth movement between images/video)
  • Music with appropriate tone/mood
  • Edit voiceovers and music to match slides
HW: Email mirandagt2014@gmail.com with the grade you think you deserve on the PSA and explain why. Make sure you discuss what you learned about your
topic, and about video and audio editing.
